Details:
On or about Monday, December 14th, 2020, around 3:06 in the afternoon, a three vehicle accident with a pickup towing a flatbed truck left one woman dead and sent a man to the hospital. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on Highway 34 in Ellis County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 75-year-old Fannie Moore was killed and 24-year-old Alexander Jones was injured when a Ford F-250 towing a flatbed allegedly struck a Ford Expedition Jones was driving. After the initial collision, the Expedition slammed into a Buick Century driven by Fannie Moore. Moore died of her injuries at the scene of the accident. Jones was airlifted to Parkland Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
Officers said Alexander Jones did not report injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident happened about one mile south of the Kaufman County line. Highway 34 runs north and south through the area.
Texas DPS and local law enforcement are investigating.
