On or about Monday, June 7th, 2021, sometime before 9:00 in the morning, a multi-vehicle accident left five people injured. Officials from the area said the accident happened at or near the intersection of Highway 2 and 104th Street in Commerce City, Colorado.
Police said five as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer and four other vehicles collided under unknown circumstances. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer rolled off the side of the roadway and into the yard of a nearby residence a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported one person to the hospital and treated four others at the scene for unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Highway 2 (Colorado Boulevard) and 104th Street is about 7 miles northeast of downtown Denver.
Police are still examining the cause of the accident.
