Details:
On or about Wednesday, October 21st, 2020, around 8:07 in the evening, a multi-vehicle accident involving several tractor-trailers sent five people to the hospital. State Police said the accident happened on Highway 359 near Connell in Franklin County, Washington.
Officials said 44-year-old Stephan Meuchel was driving a tractor-trailer that allegedly lost control and jackknifed across the lanes of traffic. The trailer of Meuchel’s truck was then struck by two tractor-trailers driven by Terry Snider and Terry Fullerton. A car driven by 19-year-old Jose Solis allegedly swerved to avoid the accident when it hit a pickup operated by James Noyes. Noyes’ pickup subsequently collided with Fullerton’s 18-wheeler.
Fullerton, Meuchel, Noyes, Solis, and Solis’ passenger were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Police have since charged Meuchel for negligent driving in the 2nd degree
Washington State Police and local law enforcement assisted at the scene of the accident.
