Details:
On or about Friday, March 26th, 2021, an accident between a pickup truck towing a horse trailer and a dump truck left two people dead and sent two others to the hospital. Troopers from the KSP said the accident happened along the eastbound side of Highway 56 in Haskell County, Kansas.
Kansas State Police said 19-year-old Cade Bullock and 23-year-old Hadly McCormick were killed when the pickup truck they were in, drive by 21-year-old Sage Ira, and a dump truck collided when one of them may have been attempting a passing maneuver. Bullock and McCormick died after the accident, while Ira was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Police identified the dump truck driver as 49-year-old Jesse Eckert, who also suffered minor injuries in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Haskell County is in southwest Kansas, about 200 miles west of Wichita.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
