On or about Sunday, December 12th, 2021, around 2:00 in the afternoon, a serious accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of an infant and sent six other individuals to the hospital. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported on the eastbound side of Interstate 20 near the exchange with Highway 287 in Arlington, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives said one infant child and six as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of a Ford Escape on eastbound I-20. Emergency responders pronounced the infant dead a short time after the collision, while paramedics transported six people to area hospitals with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 20 miles west of downtown Dallas.
