On or about Friday, September 24th, 2021, around 9:30 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a commercial truck left at least one person injured. Officials from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 70 near Highway 9 in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said at least one person was injured when a commercial truck hauling weed killer allegedly struck the back of a dump truck that stopped while merging onto Interstate 70 from Highway 9. At least one individual reported injuries following the crash, but police did not specify which vehicle they were in at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 runs east and west along the southern edge of St. Clairsville, which is about 118 miles east of Columbus.
