On or about Thursday, April 29th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an all terrain vehicle claimed the lives of two 14-year-old girls. Authorities said the accident was reported along Milton Road in Joanna, South Carolina.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said 14-year-old Jasmine Peake and 14-year-old Madison Simmons were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the SUV they were riding on. Paramedics pronounced Simmons and Peake dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Officials indicated the girls may have been crossing the street on the ATV at the time of the collision.
