Details:
On or about Saturday, July 31st, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a heavy-duty pickup truck and another pickup left a man and a juvenile dead. Officers said the accident was reported along Highway 6 just outside Tillamook, Oregon.
Troopers from the Oregon State Police said 43-year-old Jason Pierce and his juvenile passenger were killed when the pickup truck they were in was allegedly struck by a Ford F-350 that crossed over the center line of the roadway. Pierce and his passenger succumbed to their injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from mile marker 30 in Washington County, a short distance outside Tillamook.
Officials are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
