Details:
On or about Monday, January 11th, 2021, around 7:20 in the morning, a hit-and-run tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of a 33-year-old Ohio man. Troopers from the state police said the accident happened on Interstate 70 in Fallowfield Township, Pennsylvania.
Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said 33-year-old John Isenberg was standing near a disabled tractor-trailer when he was hit by a passing 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler that hit him did not stay at the scene of the accident. Emergency responders pronounced Isenberg dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene.
State Police shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 in order to investigate the accident. Authorities managed to track down the driver of the 18-wheeler later in the day.
Multiple agencies are investigating the accident at this time.
