Jose Martinez was killed and four other injured after a collision between two commercial vehicles on Zapata Highway on Wednesday morning, December 11, 2024. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety the van was rear-ended by the pickup as it was slowing to make a turn. Reports allege the driver of the pickup was travelling rapidly, and failed to stop in time. Authorities are still investigation the accident.
