On or about Friday, November 5th, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent a 26-year-old Waverly woman to the hospital. Troopers from the Iowa State Patrol said the accident was reported along Highway 63 near the intersection with County Road C-67 just outside Waterloo in Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Authorities said 26-year-old Karalynn Brunkhorst was injured when her car and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances on Highway 63. Emergency responders transported Brunkhorst to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Yeimey Riscart-Abreu, who was unhurt in the crash.
