Katelyn Sorrell was killed and Kade Sorrell seriously injured after being struck by another vehicle on Fry Road shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Kade and Katelyn were riding on a motorcycle together when they were struck by a Chevy Malibu being driven by Trymeshia Smith. Authorities report that Smith was arrested and charged with DWI, and that the charges may be upgraded to intoxication manslaughter pending their investigation.
