Details:
On or about February 20th, 2022, around 7:30 in the evening, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 30-year-old woman dead. Officers from the TPD said the accident was reported along North Broadway Avenue in Tyler, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 30-year-old Kelsey Hise was killed when she was allegedly struck by a vehicle as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of North Broadway Avenue. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Hise succumbed to her injuries a short time after the accident.
Police have since issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Chatiryn Akerra Butler for Accident Involving Death in connection with the incident.
Authorities are still trying looking for Butler.
