Details:

34-Year-Old Leony Salcedo-Chevalier was killed after he was struck by a box truck at the Amazon Fulfillment Center on Gulf Avenue in Bloomfield, NY. Officers with the New York Police Department say the accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

Authorities report Salcedo-Chevalier was working at a loading dock when the driver of the box truck began to back up. Medical personnel transported him to Richmond University Medical Center, but he would later be pronounced dead.

The driver of the box truck remained at the scene, and officers with NYPD are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
