Details:
On or about Saturday, May 1st, 2021, around 4:00 in the afternoon, an accident between several vehicles and a tractor-trailer left two women and a child dead. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the northbound side Highway 51 just outside Mountain Home, Idaho.
Officials from Elmore County said 34-year-old Lisa Holland, 38-year-old Laurie Bloomquist, and an unidentified child were killed when several passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer collided in a chain-reaction accident. Police said a tractor-trailer, an SUV, three pickup trucks, and two cars collided under unknown conditions. Holland and Bloomquist died of their injuries a short time after the accident, while a child in the car was rushed to the hospital where they died a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, Highway 51 runs north and south into the heart of Mountain Home, which is about 43 miles southwest of Boise.
Police are still examining what may have started the accident.
