On or about Wednesday, October 21st, 2020, around 9:00 in the evening, a hit-and-run tractor-trailer accident left a 56-year-old woman on a bike dead. Local officials said the accident happened at the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Downey Avenue in Long Beach, California.
Authorities said that 56-year-old Lisa Termin was killed when she was hit by an 18-wheeler while she was riding her bike. First responders pronounced Termin dead of her injuries at the scene. Police are still looking for the tractor-trailer, which fled the scene following the incident.
According to Google Streetview, Artesia Boulevard is six lanes that run east and west while Downey Avenue is four lanes that run north and south. The intersection is governed by a stoplight, and is situated in the northern portion of Long Beach.
