Details:
On or about Saturday, April 17th, 2021, around 2:15 in the afternoon, an accident with a truck’s load claimed the life of a 37-year-old man. Troopers from the OHP said the accident was reported along the Turner Turnpike just outside Luther in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
Police said 37-year-old Mario Harrison was killed when the load of his tractor-trailer allegedly shifted and crushed him when he pulled off the side of the road to inspect the truck. Harrison was pronounced dead a short time after the accident, but police did not specify if he died at the scene or after being taken to a nearby hospital.
The Turner Turnpike (Interstate 44) runs east and west through Oklahoma County, which is about 27 miles northeast of Oklahoma City, according to Google Maps.
Authorities hope to release more information at a later date.
