On or about Thursday, November 5th, 2020, around 1:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a cyclist and a tractor-trailer left a 22-year-old man dead. NYPD said the accident happened in the westbound lanes of Bruckner Boulevard near the intersection with Brown Place in the Bronx, New York.
Police said 22-year-old Michael Basurto Larino was killed when he allegedly struck the back of a southbound tractor-trailer while riding his bike westbound on Bruckner. Paramedics pronounced Larino dead after the accident.
Representatives from the NYPD said this is the 21st cyclist to die on city roads this year.
Police expect to release more details about the accident as soon as they become available.
