On or about Wednesday, November 10th, 2021, around 11:40 in the morning, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer left a 36-year-old man dead and sent a woman to the hospital. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported at the intersection of Independence Street and Broadview Street in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Investigators said 36-year-old Michael Brown was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly made a turn and struck Brown’s motorcycle at the intersection of Broadview Street and Independence Street. Brown was pronounced dead of his injuries a short time after the accident, while an as-of-yet unidentified passenger on the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, Cape Girardeau is about 115 miles south of downtown St. Louis.
