Details:
ON or about Monday, December 13th, 2021, around 4:45 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler left two individuals dead. Troopers from the KSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and 117 Road just outside Dodge City, Kansas.
Police officers said 38-year-old Julius Cooper and 38-year-old Michael Hansen were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 50 and 117 Road when it collided with Hansen’s 18-wheeler. Paramedics pronounced Hansen, and Cooper dead of their injuries a short time after the accident. Cooper was a passenger in the tractor-trailer that allegedly ran a red light.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance east of Dodge City, Kansas.
Officials are still investigating the factors that may have played a role in the collision.
