On or about Thursday, September 23rd, 2021, a major chain-reaction accident between six cars and a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported on Interstate 485 in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer and six other vehicles collided in a chain-reaction incident on I-485. Officials did not indicate how the accident may have started, but did indicate one of the vehicles may have crossed over the center line of the interstate. Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 485 runs east and west along the southern edge of Huntersville, which is situated on the northern edge of Charlotte.
