Details:
On or about Sunday, April 10th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a GoRaleigh bus left one person dead and sent a child to the hospital. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported at the intersection of Garner Road and Peterson Street in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Officers from the Raleigh Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and a child was injured when a GoRaleigh bus allegedly failed to yield and struck the car they were in as the bus was turning at Garner and Peterson. Paramedics pronounced one person in the car dead, while a juvenile passenger was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
Police have since cited the driver of the bus with failure to yield in connection with the collision.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Garner Road and Peterson Street is on the south side of Raleigh.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
