Details:
On or about Wednesday, June 16th, 2021, around 7:55 in the evening, a single-vehicle dump truck accident left one individual dead. Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 11 near the Hoover Dam in Boulder City, Nevada.
Troopers from the Nevada State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the dump truck they were in allegedly veered off the side of Interstate 11 and crashed down an embankment. The dump truck burst into flames a short time after the crash. Paramedics pronounced one person in the truck dead at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 11 runs north and south through the area, which is about 26 miles southeast of downtown Las Vegas.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation as soon as they become available.
