Details:
On or about Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, sometime in the evening hours, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one child dead and sent several other people to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 45 in New Waverly, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified child was killed and five other people were injured when the vehicle they were in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that had just crested a hill along Interstate 45. Emergency responders pronounced one child in the car dead of their injuries after the crash, while five other individuals were taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the collision is at or near the exchange with Farm-to-Market Road 1375.
Police are still looking into the collision.
