Details
A passenger of a 2011 Subaru Outback was killed Monday, December 2, 2024, when the vehicle was struck by a 2025 Volvo semi-truck. The four other passengers, as well as the driver, received undisclosed injuries from the collision after the Volvo semi-truck driver failed to slow down. California Highway Patrol reports that the Volvo made no attempts to stop or slow down before crashing into the rear of the Subaru, pushing the vehicle forward into the back of a Freightliner semi-truck stopped in front of it.
The 24-year-old passenger as pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
