On or about Wednesday, December 30th, 2020, around 4:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a flatbed tow truck left one individual dead. Officials said the accident happened near the intersection of South Garvin Street and East Chandler Avenue in Evansville, Indiana.
Law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when their car allegedly struck a flatbed tow truck that was parked and unoccupied on the side of the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead a short time after the accident.
Police did not specify if the flatbed tow truck was legally parked.
