Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, around 12:40 in the morning, a major hit-and-run accident left a truck driver dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the North Beltway not far from the exchange with Fairbanks North in Harris County, Texas.
Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when the Amazon tractor-trailer she was driving allegedly veered off the side of the road and hit a barrier, ejecting the driver. After the driver was ejected she was allegedly struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene of the accident. Paramedics pronounced the truck driver dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northwest side of Harris County.
Officials are still trying to track down the driver and vehicle that fled the scene of the accident.
