Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, around 12:40 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle garbage truck accident left one person dead and sent another person to the hospital. Representatives from the FHP said the accident was reported along Highway 64 in Bradenton, Florida.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when the garbage truck they were in allegedly lost control and rolled while turning. Paramedics pronounced a passenger in the garbage truck dead a short time after the accident, while the driver of the garbage truck was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Lena Road.
Officials are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
