On or about Sunday, October 11th, 2020, around 3:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident killed one man and sent another to the hospital. The accident happened on Interstate 95 in Colleton County, South Carolina.
Highway Patrol representatives said that one person died and a 30-year-old man was injured when the 18-wheeler they were in allegedly veered off the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 when it slammed into a tree. The truck burst into flames following the collision.
One occupant in the truck died from his injuries, while the passenger was transported to Medical University of South Carolina with serious injuries.
