On or about Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, a major log truck accident left one individual dead. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 99 West near McFarland Road in Monroe, Washington.
Deputies from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office said at least one individual was killed when a log truck crashed under unknown conditions on Highway 99 West near McFarland Road. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead of their injuries a short time after the accident, but police did not state if the victim was in the log truck, or another vehicle unmentioned in the report.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 32 miles northeast of downtown Seattle.
Police are still investigating the accident.
