Details:
On or about Saturday, March 19th, 2022, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Troopers from the NMHP said the accident was reported along Highway 491 in McKinley County, New Mexico.
Representatives from the New Mexico Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked along Highway 491. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, McKinley County is in the northwest corner of New Mexico.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
