On or about Thursday, February 4th, 2022, around 9:40 in the morning, a major pileup accident with nine tractor-trailers left at least one person with injuries. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 44 just outside Sullivan in Franklin County, Missouri.
Spokespeople from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said at least one individual was injured when nine tractor-trailers collided in a chain-reaction accident along Interstate 44. Law enforcement representatives did not indicate how the chain-reaction pileup accident. Paramedics treated at leas tone individual for unspecified injuries, but it is not currently clear if they were treated at the scene or if they were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Sullivan, which is about 67 miles southwest of St. Louis.
Police are still investigating the accident.
