On or about Thursday, June 24th, 2021, around 9:30 in the morning, an accident between three tractor-trailers claimed the life of one person. Troopers from the OSHP said the accident was reported along Route 35 in Jackson County, Ohio.
Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified truck driver was killed when his 18-wheeler allegedly struck the back of a turning tractor-trailer. After the initial collision, another tractor-trailer struck the rear of the victim’s truck. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the middle truck dead of his injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, the Highway 35 runs north and south through Jackson County, with the scene of the accident situated at the intersection with Caves Road.
Police expect to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
