On or about Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, around 1:30 in the morning, a major accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 35-year-old man. Local law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported along the northbound side of State Route 101 in Glendale, Arizona.
Officials from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified 35-year-old man was killed when the car he was in allegedly struck a tractor-trailer head-on while driving south in the northbound lanes of SR 101. Paramedics rushed one person in the car to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival. Officials did not mention any other injuries in their report on the incident.
According to Google Maps, State Route 101 runs north and south through Glendale, which is about 9 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix.
Police are still investigating the collision.
