On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, around 12:50 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident left one individual dead. Deputies from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along State Route 6 in Jamesport, Missouri.
Officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the tractor-trailer they were driving allegedly veered off the side of State Route 6 and crashed into a ditch after going airborne. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the tractor-trailer dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, Jamesport is about 82 miles northwest of downtown Kansas City.
Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
