Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and an SUV left one person dead and sent two children to the hospital. Troopers from the NCHP said the accident was reported along Highway 24 just outside Lillington in Harnett County, South Carolina.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and two children were hurt when the SUV they were in allegedly veered over the center line of Highway 24 and collided with a dump truck in the oncoming lanes. Paramedics pronounced one adult in the SUV dead after the accident, while two children were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Lillington, which is about 31 miles south of downtown Raleigh.
Police are still investigating.
