Details:
On or about Thursday, May 20th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between an SUV and a dump truck left one man dead and sent two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Southwest Parker Road in Gainesville, Florida.
Troopers from the FHP said an as-of-yet unidentified 61-year-old man was killed and two other people were hurt when an SUV and a dump truck collided under unknown conditions. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the SUV dead a short time after the accident, while a passenger and the driver of the dump truck were treated for unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Southwest Parker Road runs north and south through the far western edge of Gainesville.
Police are still investigating the accident.
