A 48-year-old person was killed after a semi-truck crossed the lanes of Highway 41, causing the pickup truck driver to crash into the semi-truck. Authorities report that when the accident occurred on the morning of Friday, December 6, 2024, the driver of the semi-truck was headed east on Piney Point Road, approaching a stop sign, while the pickup was headed south on US 41. The semi proceeded to cross into traffic, causing the pickup truck to crash into the left side of the cab.
