Details:
On or about Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, an accident between a log truck and an SUV left a man and woman from Brookland dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 287 at the intersection with Farm-to-Market Road 256 just outside Chester in Jasper County, Texas.
Texas DPS officials said 71-year-old John Crenshaw and 62-year-old Pamela Crenshaw were killed when the SUV they were in was allegedly hit by a log truck at the intersection of Highway 287 and Farm-to-Market Road 256. Paramedics pronounced Pamela and John Crenshaw dead of her injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Christopher Faulkenberry, who was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Chester, which is roughly 104 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Police are still examining what happened in the collision.
