Details:
On or about Monday, October 19th, 2020, around 5:00 in the morning, a collision between a box truck and a disabled car claimed the life of a Fall River, Massachusetts resident. The crash happened in the breakdown lane of Interstate 95 South in Warwick, Rhode Island.
State Police say that 54-year-old Patrick Albin was killed when his disabled vehicle was allegedly struck from behind by a commercial truck near the exit for Route 117. Albin was pronounced dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. The driver of the truck did not report any injuries.
Interstate 95 is eight lanes divided by a grassy median that runs north and south through the western part of Warwick, which is located about 12 miles south of Providence.
Representatives from both state and local law enforcement assisted at the scene of the crash.
