Details:
On or about Monday, October 19th, 2020, around 5:00 in the morning, an 18-wheeler accident with a disabled car left a 54-year-old man dead. Police said that the accident happened on I-95 South near Centerville Road (Route 117) in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Officials from the area said that 54-year-old Patrick Albin was killed when the Toyota Corolla he was in was allegedly rear-ended by an 18-wheeler after breaking down in the shoulder of the southbound lanes. Albin was pronounced dead of his injuries a short time after the collision.
The driver of the tractor-trailer did not report injuries.
An examination of Interstate 95 on Google Maps shows an 8 lane roadway with concrete barriers dividing the north and southbound lanes of traffic. Warwick is about 12 miles south of downtown providence.
