A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in the parking lot of a Winn-Dixie supermarket on Thursday, December 26, 2024. The DeLand Police Department reports that the incident occurred near 6:00 a.m. when the driver pulled into the loading area at the rear of the store and hit the pedestrian.
