On or about Friday, April 16th, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a van sent three people to the hospital. Officials said the accident was reported at the intersection of Adolfo Road and Mission Oaks Boulevard in Camarillo, California.
Troopers from the CHP said 78-year-old Pilar PIzzaro was a passenger in a van that was allegedly struck by a box truck at the intersection of Mission Oaks and Adolfo. Paramedics pronounced Pizzaro dead a short time after the crash, while three other people were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Camarillo is situated in Ventura County, about 54 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
