On or about Thursday, May 13th, 2021, around 5:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left a 55-year-old Franklin man dead. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 70 near the exchange with Harding Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Authorities said 55-year-old Randall Wilson was killed when his car allegedly slammed into the back of a disabled tractor-trailer. Police did not specify if the truck had pulled all the way off the road, or if a portion was still protruding in the lanes at the time of the accident. Wilson was pronounced dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries in their initial report on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 70 and Harding Street is a short distance from downtown Indianapolis.
