Details:
On or about Thursday, March 25th, 2021, around 4:00 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left a 60-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on the westbound side of Interstate 30 in Garland, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said 60-year-old Richard Autry Jr. was killed when he was allegedly struck by a westbound 18-wheeler. Paramedics rushed Autry to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement.
According to Google Maps, Garland is about 20 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
Multiple agencies responded to assist at the scene.
