Details:
On or about Friday, October 30th, 2020, around 10:24 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers and a motorcycle left a 29-year-old man from Olympia dead. Troopers said the accident occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 5 near milepost 95 in Maytown, Washington.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 29-year-old Royal Macias was killed when his motorcycle allegedly lost control on oil slicked roads or gravel, and that he was run over by at least two 18-wheelers after the initial crash. Paramedics pronounced Macias dead of his injuries after the accident.
Police are still trying to find one of the tractor-trailers that did not stay at the scene after the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 5 is six lanes in the area, with a concrete barrier dividing north and southbound traffic. Maytown is located about 12 miles south of Olympia.
Washington State Police assisted local law enforcement at the scene of the accident.
