Details:
On or about Friday, May 6th, 2022, around 10:30 in the morning, a serious accident between a dump truck and a passenger vehicle sent three individuals to the hospital. Officials from the NHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Pratt Street and 24th Street in Omaha, Nebraska.
Spokespeople from the Omaha Police Department said 42-year-old Ryan Pope and his two passengers were injured when the car they were in was allegedly hit by a dump truck driven by 28-year-old Jesse Uhlmann when the truck ran a red light. Emergency responders transported Pope and his two passengers to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
Authorities have since charged Jesse Uhlmann with driving under the influence of drugs, driving under suspension, failure to yield at a stop sign and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with the accident.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene of the accident to assist.
