Samantha Alwan and an unidentified male were both killed following a head-on collision on Sunday, December 16, 2024 while travelling on I-27. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that Alwan was driving north when the unidentified driver, travelling south, veered into the northbound lane and collided with Alwan head-on. Authorities report the 2014 Ford Escape caught fire, and they are still working to identify him. The investigation is ongoing.
