Six people were injured after the rear of their vehicle was struck from behind by a semi-truck on I-10 Wednesday, December 31, 2024, in Beaumont, TX. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that he Mercury had a flat tire and was coming to a stop with the hazard lights on when the collision occurred. A 16-year-old female was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with critical injuries and the other five were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital. The incident is currently under investigation.
