On or about Monday, December 13th, 2021, around 10:45 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passing car claimed the life of a 57-year-old Big Rapids, Michigan man. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Highway 75 in Denison, Texas.
Police officers said 57-year-old Terry Carlson was killed when they were allegedly struck by a passing motorist or several passing motorists as they were walking near or tried to cross the northbound lanes of Highway 75. Emergency responders pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities did not indicate if all the vehicles involved stopped at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 75 cuts north and south through Denver, which is about 75 miles north of downtown Dallas.
Police are still examining all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
